SUN MOON RISING RETREAT

Explore the alchemy of the self through the lens of the ancient Indo-Himalayan approach of Ha-tha yoga (sanskrit: "sun moon union").
We will use a dynamic blend of modern and classic techniques during this 7 day retreat. Each practitioner will be guided through:
Ashtanga lead classes
Vinyasa lead classes
Restorative Yin
Yoga Nidra
Guided meditation
Tibetan sound healing
Re-birthing breathwork
Each day will be balanced with a solar/lunar minded schedule, philosophy and reflection time. After diving deep into the masculine and feminine on the mat, enjoy basking in the sun by the pool by day, and by night, calm the senses by the light of the waning moon among the wild hills of Finca El Moro.

Through the lens of Ha-Tha Yoga (sanskrit: "sun moon union"), this dynamic couple will offer a tandem-lead, 3 hour practice that will include:
Invigorating Vinyasa Yoga with hands-on adjustments
Cooling Yin Yoga
Tibetan Sound Healing
Guided Metta Meditation
Ceremonial Cocoa
Group Reflection
Take the transformational journey through the union of the masculine and feminine of your own being and rest in a compassionate reflection on loving kindness.

Vinyasa - breathing through movement. Vinyasa movement maintains heat in the body to allow for a deeper and safer flow of prana (life force) through the body while holding asanas (physical postures). This style of postural yoga accesses the sympathetic nervous system, training our bodies to handle stress and cultivate healthy masculine energy while increasing dopamine in the peripheral nervous system.
Yin - inspired by Chinese medicine, this practice is designed to allow for deeper stretching of both myofascial and connective tissue. It offers the practitioner a chance to dive into the parasympathetic nervous system, the aspect of our being responsible for rest and digestion.
